Is a tree this size difficult to shape?
The Thortan family described theirs as easy to bend open and reported crappie and bass around it throughout the day. Pre-bend the limbs by hand on shore, then hold them with string for transport. Insert the three pucks and twist the sections together at the placement site before deploying from a boat or barge.
Does it need a separate anchor?
No. Cement is built into the patented base, and Vertical UpRise keeps the tree upright. Tom Kent described his as the best fish attractor tree he had used, with bream and bass around the cover.
