Each SmallSpot is a reusable fish attractor buoy that rides above the fish structure it marks, so you can check spacing, photograph the arrangement and document the finished habitat layout in your pond, lake or reservoir. It is a placement accessory, not underwater habitat — the record-keeping step of a well-designed fish habitat project.

How does the buoy work?
Clip a SmallSpot near the top of your habitat before deployment. As the structure sinks, the line unwinds and the buoy rises above its placement point. Greg Tomlin wrote, "Great idea! never could tell where things ended up. Love them!!"
Can I use them again?
Yes. Once you have photographed the layout and checked the gaps between structures, pull the spring clips free and the markers are ready for the next placement.
